We are hopeful that our rain showers are now through as we move into our final months of school! Due to publishing deadlines, final results and thank you’s will be featured in our May newsletter.
Third through sixth grade classes are preparing for the upcoming California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP.) All grade levels will be testing on chrome- books in their classrooms beginning in late April into mid-May. See a schedule by grade level later in the newsletter and posted on ParentSquare. Please avoid scheduling any doctor’s appointments or trips during this testing period. Please help us by making sure that your child arrives to school on time and emotionally ready to take this state exam. We need to have our students well-rested and prepared to take this test each morning. Students arriving after testing has begun will wait in the office until testing is completed. Make ups will be scheduled for students who are ill. Parents are reminded that volunteers are not allowed in the classroom during testing times. We have a closed campus during testing.
I hope to see you out at Open House on Thursday, April 25th from 6:00-8:00PM. Classrooms are open from 6:00-7:00 only. Families will have the opportunity to visit classrooms, the art show, and book fair. The book fair will be open during lunch and after school (except for Thursday) Monday through Thursday in the library. Public Schools Week is April 22-26 and a good time to make an appointment to visit classrooms between 9:00 and 11:00.
Please update your Synergy registration so your child will be included in next August’s Bulldog Return class postings. Parents needing help with this process, please call to arrange a time to meet with our office staff. Thank you for helping return this information in a timely manner.
Kindergarten Registration is now in progress. If you know a kindergartner (or pre- schooler) who is planning to attend Kellogg in the fall, but missed the information night or who has not registered yet, please encourage them to stop in the office.
Any further questions can be directed to mail to: email@example.com or 691-1277.
