Dear Kellogg Families,
As teachers begin preparing for and scheduling Parent-Teacher Conferences (November 13-17), I want to remind families that these conferences are a powerful tool in better understanding the needs and strengths of your child. The more parents choose to participate in these discussions, the more knowledge they will gain from this opportunity. Please feel free to bring a list of questions that you may have regarding your child or the academic program that is being offered in your child’s classroom. Write down any questions that you have regarding homework, class projects, peer relationships, or other school events or policies. Your child’s teacher wants you to become more informed about your child’s education and what you can do at home to help support your child’s academic and social success. Our partnership between families and school is integral to better understanding each of our students’ needs. Ongoing communication is key and essential. Please be prompt in returning correspondence with your child’s teacher to schedule your conference.
Sixth grade fundraising will be hosting Movies/ Outdoor activities after school (Nov. 13-17) for each of the five, conference days to help families manage the 12:00 early dismissal. Watch your child’s Friday Folder form more information and sign up early.
Special thanks to Eric Reeder for organizing this year’s Kellogg Family Science Night! We had many families come and enjoy the variety of community-sponsored activities and presentations. Special thanks to the families who provided food items for our presenter’s dinner. What an amazing event for our community!
Save the date for Saturday, December 2nd our PTA-sponsored Family Portrait day. Sign your family up for a session between 12:00-5:00. Watch your Friday Folder! Go Bulldogs!
